RCS had a meeting on 5th September 2017, with a difference. A practical experience was given to almost 35 members and 13 volunteers through a very successful Dinner in the Dark. A small documentary was shown depicting a ‘Day in the ‘Life of a Blind Man’, giving a clear message that there is no difference between them and us and when you see a person crossing with a white stick, one should stop and not blow the horn as it confuses them. Everyone was led into a pitch dark room by people who could not see that is i.e. Shiv, Soni Amrinder and Kuljit. Juice and water were kept in different type of jugs and one had to pour the same by feeling them.

Snacks , main course and ice-cream was served at staggered time, in the mean time people chatted with each others, very unusual in now days time as everyone feels that one does not have time to do so, but everyone has time for browsing through their mobiles. For a change no gadgets were allowed in the hall. Everyone enjoyed and relished the meal because they felt the food, company was good and singing by the members added fun to the evening.
